ZION NATIONAL PARK - GREAT COLORADO CANYON

Early in the morning we leave our hotel the Canyon Ranch Hotel and set off for the Grand Canyon of the Colorado, where we have a 5 hour drive back to enjoy endless roads surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
We arrive at the Grand Canyon at around 12 noon, with a terrible desire to visit one of the highlights of this trip to the West Coast of the United States.
Our initial idea, when we prepared the itinerary, was to visit it the next day after our helicopter flight over the Colorado Canyon, but as yesterday with the visit to Zion Park after Bryce we gained half a day of travel, we were able to see all the points we wanted to see of the Grand Canyon from the time we arrived until sunset.

Before arriving in our car to the most touristic area of the Grand Canyon we stop at different viewpoints enjoying the incredible views that nature is giving us.

When we arrive to the bus area, we leave our rental car in the United States in the car park and we take the free shuttle of one of the different routes that can be done and we get off at all the stops it makes, in the different points of the Colorado Canyon, in which each time we have better views than the previous one and we continue impressing us with the incredible landscapes.

It really is impressive, it is difficult to find another word to describe the feeling you get when you see it for the first time and feel so small in front of such immensity.

The truth is that with all the stops the shuttle makes, you get a good tour of the most famous and also the most touristic part of the Grand Canyon.

As we see different points, we can't help but imagine what our flight tomorrow will be like, having the perspective of the Grand Canyon from the air.

From each point we stop, we have to walk a short distance to get to the View Points, from where we can enjoy spectacular views, it is hard to believe that this could exist.

Grand Canyon of the Colorado

After watching the sunset at Mother Point, we head to our hotel Red Feather Lodge, which is just outside the Grand Canyon.
After checking in, we go for dinner and take the opportunity to stop by Papillon, the agency with whom we will take the helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon tomorrow, to reconfirm our reservation for the following day.
