After Steve Kaczeus (MechEngr ’82) took a buyout from a corporate engineering job, he and his wife Leslie faced a fork in the road. They had to decide whether to start a brewery or move to the Caribbean. Kaczeus, an enthusiastic homebrewer since 1993, ultimately chose to pursue his passion for making great beer. The couple launched Bootstrap Brewing in 2012, and their business has been thriving ever since.
